casWho else waits till the day after Thanksgiving to put up your Christmas decorations
I have a friend who puts it all up on Thanksgiving day. Sort of a Thanksgiving day tradition. (don't you have too much to do that day already?)
The weird part... it all comes down on
Christmas day!

adorWe do. In fact, we are taking down the Thanksgiving decor Sunday (I am working til Saturday). Putting up Xmas lights and decor the same day. Some of my neighbors already have their Christmas lights since last week. Xmas lights and decor dont come down until after Three Kings.

BOATTRASH1We put most of ours last weekend, we have a lot. The wife lit them up last night to check them.
today we did the flagpole tree lights and lit everything up.
This weekend we will put out the Boxer, ;-(, and the garage door wrap and the wreaths on the windows and that will be it.

I missed being a 1/1 baby by about 8 hrs. Would've shared a birthday with my mom then. But I'll take 1/2 instead.

ElToroWeekend after thanksgiving, weather dependent is when I do house lights.
So many houses in my areas last 2 weeks with Christmas lights and inflatables up. Drives me mad something just wrong about it. Wait till after the turkey has flushed down the toilet.

ElToroMy daughter was born 12-31. So I did get that tax break that year. At least we do fireworks for her birthday. I’ve been telling her whole life they are for her birthday anyway. lol

71 TRUCKThanks everyone.
Last night when we were getting home from a friends house for thanksgiving we saw our neighbor. She was working on finishing touches for her decorations she had been working on for the last week.
I told her tomorrow "Friday" was the big day for me to start decorating.
I will start with the candy cane signs we have for the front yard, the Christmas tree wreath for the front door and if the star shower works I will set that up in the front yard, total time 15 minutes, she laughed.
After that we work on the three foot Christmas tree in our living room.
Years ago even though we did not decorate the outside of the house we would go all out on the inside.
Live Christmas tree all decorated, other areas around the housed all done up and ready for Santa. Over the last few years it has only been my wife and I so we scaled way back.
Again thanks everyone and because it is the day after Thanksgiving, Have a Merry Christmas.
