sourdough44Yes, and a certain path of a city pair flight number changes daily and can thoughout the day, based on winds and weather.
Of course on either end it’s more likely to be close to the same path. Since fuel is such a large cost, the best tailwind or least headwinds factor in heavily. The flight can vary a fair distance from direct for the best time. We also have ‘overflight fees’, weather, and forecast turbulence for the planning software and dispatch to consider.
