Help Me Find This Spade Terminal
Allright, I'm putting the forum to the test. I've searched, and while I come close I can't find this connector.

Its out of a DeWalt Grinder, and due to the constraints in the case it needs to be like this design. I may try one that is L shaped and bend it back on itself, but I worry that will cause the bend to fail.

So I thought I'd check here and see if anyone knows of a place that might sell this style.

Thanks in advance.

Is the way its folded over on itself done at installation you think or is there a version that comes like this?

I am not sure what you would call the different style of building it, the only way I could see it matter is if it's an extremely tight space and which way your limiting factors are.

Solder wire directly on the back of the terminal at 90 degrees?

The space is tight, and the angle it connects to the switch make it almost necessary. I guess I'll have to try it if I can't find this style.

I can just splice it to these if worse comes to worse, but the collar on the connector makes contact with a secondary post on the switch.

I don't know if this is necessary or not. I could solder to it too, but thought I'd try to find a replacement first.

Being that tight of a space and having worked on a few power tools myself, I would try the solder trick. Sometimes the spaces are so tight in there only the exact same type of connector will work.

The few I found wouldn’t fit just by looking at them.

Found it on TE Connectivity website. It was stamped "AMP". I didn't realize that was a brand, but when Skins pointed me to the Digi-Key site I saw that it was listed as a brand so I just went to their webpage.

For anyone who's interested its called a reversible flag quick connect terminal. Makes sense as it can connect from either direction.

Product Link

Thanks Skins!

That’s awesome. AMP has been around for years and make good stuff. They also make flat wire components for office buildings.

They let me buy direct from the website in small quantities, and shipping is free!

I ordered a few different varieties as they let me order as little as 1 of each. I got 10 each just to be safe Smile

Glad you found them.

About 10 years ago I installed and programmed several automated work-cells at their plant in FL. Automatic solder applicators for crimp terminals, slick little machines, actually. Wink

In the past when I needed small quantities of parts like that, I've just called up customer service/sales and requested "prototyping samples". They'll usually ship 20-50 units of just about any part for free if you ask them nicely.

You could always use a "compressor terminal".
