Thankfully not so with Delta. 95% of the time I get an American. Though it may because Delta only puts their most experienced and knowledgeable people on the elite lines.

Well, about two months ago I started having trouble with my ATM/debit card. I would stick the credit in the chip reader and 5 or 6 times it would finally read.

Then it got worse, to the point it wouldn't read the chip. I would have to swipe the strip....then that started to not work.

The closest brand to the Credit Union is 18 miles away, and with COVID they reduced the branch hours, and it was by appointment for most things, but I never could reach them. I had a total of 10 hours on hold with 3 messages to call me back, and nothing.

Well finally they have normal hours now and no appointments necessary so Tuesday I drove to the closest branch, ripped them and withdrew $200.00 to by a second hand refrigerator because mine finally died.

New debit card is in the mail, they apologized and the refrigerator fiasco is still ongoing....

Yeah, customer service has turned into a complete shit show for most things....don't get me started about the water company cluster....I don't have the mental health for that one.

a few days ago I called the Air France elite phone line for my scheduled Delta flight. Air France/KLM/Delta are all affiliated, and in the US, I read somewhere that it is the same call center. In any case, I got right through to a live person (American) immediately. They were quickly able to resolve my ticketing and upgrades that I could not do online.
