^ I'd have happily foregone that small boost to my 401K in exchange for avoiding the Iraq war. Arguably the market-wide performance would have probably more than offset Haliburton's gains anyway had we stayed out. So again...screw that guy.

When he was SecDef during the 1990-1991 Gulf War I think he was viewed pretty favorably as we moved so quickly and successfully and it shocked the hell out of the Soviets. Post that, he was pretty universally reviled.

Hate him or like him. To his credit. He never gave a fuck what anyone else thought.

His angst for President Trump tells you everything you need know about the man. And we already new what kind of a man he was.

The same can be said of other asshole RINOs, including George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, and especially John McCain.

The following is Cheney's final act to seal his real legacy. Supporting this train wreck to "preserve the Constitution" and "save" the country.

My father never ever talks politics, but years and years ago my dad did not mince words about him...

Especially after Iraq dragged on..

Basically he stated: that he doesn't have any problem sending other peoples son and daughters to war but he was to busy and a yellow SOB to go himself.

From Wiki:
When Cheney became eligible for the draft, during the Vietnam War, he applied for and received five draft deferments. In 1989, The Washington Post writer George C. Wilson interviewed Cheney as the next secretary of defense; when asked about his deferments, Cheney reportedly said, "I had other priorities in the '60s than military service

I'm thinking maybe the family should consider planting him right next to a highway rest stop. That way everyone driving by would have the opportunity to stop and...uhhh...shall we say...pay their respects.

I lost support not when he was VP but when it dissed Trump because Trump made mincemeat out of little Jeb in the 2016 election who was supposed to be the heir apparent in the Republican Party.
He did it purely out of loyalty to the Bushes.
The cancer spread to his offspring from Wyoming as well.
I don't miss him and that's all I will say about the dead.

makes me wonder how many of about 58,000 youngsters with their name on a wall could have had other priorities.

That's pretty much where I am.

As for the "draft dodging", he had heart problems most of his life - I'm surprised he lasted this long - and "reportedly" said whatever is rumor from a biased source unless substantiated.
