grumpy1Prayers for you and your family. Good friend of mine recently had similar procedure and had fairly quick recovery and feels better than he has in several years.

beltfed21Hello all, I’m back. Some good news some not so good.
Surgery went well as did recovery. In fact I tied a record.... went home 2 days after the surgery. Spent my first night at home last. Stiff and sore at this point, but I’ll get over that.
Now the bad part. There was damage to the heart muscle, too the tune that my heart is only pumping at 25%. Normal is 55% or better. They believe with drugs and exercise I may be able to get the number to 30%.
Thanks again for the prayers, they sure did help!

CensoredIt is amazing how quickly people are discharged following heart surgery. Your record says alot about you and your ability to recover. An ejection fraction (EF) of 25% is not too shabby (I am not a cardiologist) for what you have gone through. Drugs, diet and exercise can keep the number from getting any worse. Watch the salt and blood pressure.
