There is something Western about this

Man shoots barber over his son’s haircut, police say
'He went home, came back. They fixed the haircut for free and then that’s when the altercation occurred'

Police have launched a manhunt for a suspect who allegedly shot an employee of a Texas barbershop over his 13-year-old son’s haircut before fleeing the scene, officials said.
The shooting happened following an altercation inside the barbershop, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, which tweeted on Saturday: “Deputies are at a barber shop … where a male employee appears to have been shot by a customer, who then fled.”

A detective later told local news outlet KPRC that the barber had fixed the 13-year-old’s haircut for free after he returned to the shop with his father.

“He went home, came back. They fixed the haircut for free and then that’s when the altercation occurred”, Wallace Wyatt, a detective in Harris County, told the news outlet.

He described the shooting as “one of the worst ones I’ve heard” and suggested the child was inside the shop when the man began shooting at the barber.

He threw his life away over a haircut?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I would suspect that the dad lives in a life of gangs and violence. Using violence to get someone's way is a way of life. The barber not being in a gang would not stop such a person.

Good chance the dad is on his way back to Mexico by now.

Don't forget his sons life too. He gets to grow up in a single parent home now severely lowering his chances of escaping that kind of life.

The OP didn't post all of the story (i.e. more under a photo) so unless you clicked the link you missed this: "In an update posted to Twitter, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office described the suspect as a black male possibly driving a Honda accord."

The shooter might be headed to Mexico, but he's not likely heading back to Mexico.

Shouldn't we see photographic evidence of the bad haircut before we all get so judgmental? I mean, it IS Texas.

Dumbass should’ve just had them buzz cut it. That’s what I’ve had them do the couple of times I’ve had a bad haircut in the past.

Guess the guy was too dumb or hot-headed to realize it would grow back.

When I was 11 years old, my father told me to go get my hair cut by myself. He said, "Just tell the man how you want it, and he'll do it the way you want it." Made sense to me, so I went.

After explaining how I wanted it, using "sir" and "please" and "thank you," he gave me a buzz cut. Looking back on it now, the only thing I can think of to explain it is he thought I was being precocious, or smart alec, or whatever. I actually meant to be respectful of my elder as I had been taught.

When I got home, my parents and my siblings all got a good laugh out of it. My father said, "It will grow out in no time - you'll see."

I wasn't fortunate enough to have a father who would go and shoot the bastard with a gun.

LOL

A surprisingly wide range of life's problems can be solved by shooting some sumbitch or other.

Bad haircuts, though, well, that's kinda questionable. I'm not so sure that gunfire is the way to go. I could be wrong. Shit's complicated.

This was most likely over a lack of ‘speck rather than a bad haircut. You can bet this isn’t the first time this turd addressed something relatively minor with excessive violence.

Okay, black male, not headed to Mexico. Still, he probably grew up without a good father figure and never really matured. A few generations of this, and prisons would be full of these people...wait they are.

Fortunately with Trump doing everything he can to promote job growth for all Americans, some of these problems may be avoided. Keeping the family unit together would solve so many problems.
