I usually go to my brother's, a little over 50 miles.

flashguyI'm going up to Denison, Texas (60 miles) to take my Best Friend and his wife to dinner on Tuesday the 26th (early because of scheduling issues). Don't know what, if anything, I'll do on Thanksgiving Day.

p226gsdLet’s see... MIL in MD (330 miles), rest of family in NY (520 miles)... I’m looking forward to a good old fashioned NC Thanksgiving. I try to avoid the I95 corridor during holidays, especially Thanksgiving.

Orive 8My wife and I are going to Cracker Barrel, this will be our 4th year of having our T-Day meal at the Barrel. We have gone to two different ones in the past, really have enjoyed the meal. Then we take a Chocolate Pecan pie home... my favorite pie!

wingsparBetween the kitchen and the living room (TV and Football). I can’t even remember the last time I even went outside on Thanksgiving. No better time to stay off the roads and highways, unless of course it’s a short trip to the range to shoot something.

chbibcWe've had a tradition for the last 30 years or so. Hunting in the morning with my best friend, then to my brother's house (about 25 miles away) for a family gathering in the afternoon.

Rick LeeMy first Thanksgiving in China was at a Hot Pot place in Chengdu that was done up in a Cultural Revolution motif. The staff wore period-correct uniforms, lots of old school propaganda murals on the wall and the food was beyond great. Of course, the irony was that, back then not too many people ate very well, certainly not the type of gluttony we experienced. Very interesting place though.

P210Driving 17 miles to an upcountry restaurant. A young couple I’m hosting live up that way and have a two year old who will be up past his normal bedtime as it is. My own kids don’t live here but they have friends who do. They fill in for my family and I fill in for their parents.

Me and the kid are going to see my parents in Franklin NC. Literally it’s 1k miles from our door to theirs . I drove it back in June in one day and I said I’d never do that again...we are gonna layover in Jackson MS.
Wish me luck

WarhorseMy wife and I are spending the winter in Florida this year. Will more than likely have Thanksgiving in the activities center here at the RV Resort with the other old farts in this over 55 resort.

joatmonvI voted "no plans".
I do have a half assed plan to go to my Aunt's house but I'm not sure if I'm going to follow through. A good part of me wants to just stay home and do my own thing.
I bought a smaller turkey breast to smoke and may do it on Thanksgiving.
I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.
