Meh, 42 wpm after deducting three mistakes.

However, my doctor cannot type at all. Maybe that is common since I've noticed many in the medical field doing hunt and peck, but I can't imagine earning that level of higher education and never learning to type.

I'm going to go with unique. Self-taught, typically don't look at the keyboard, but probably am far from 'proper' in hand/finger placement.
