hberttmankYou can never have too much loaded ammo or reloading components if you have the room.

Your LGS was so hard up for 22LR that they paid you what, 10 cents for two rounds?

Now that would be hard up. Thanks for noticing, I fixed my original post.

You are not alone. I have some 5.7x28. At least it doesn’t take up much space. And I did buy some .50BMG years before I bought the rifle.

armoredI have a good supply of loaded metallic and shotgun ammo. About a year ago I doubled down and bought more reloading supplies.
A couple months ago I felt a need to do more to prepare for a uncertain future so I expanded my reloading to Shotgun, buying a progressive loader and components.I also bought what I need to cast my own bullets, shot, and slugs.

Bendable and ZSMICHAEL and Para - I want to apologize to all of you for the Vague thread title I originally created. Growing up I was viewed and told that I was not the sharpest tool In the tool box and I want both of you to know my mistake was not intentional and I did not understand or pick up on your posts trying to guide me to fixing my original thread title....
I was not ignoring you, it was just that I did not understand the point both of you were trying to make to me in as nice a way as you could....Someone helped me understand this and that is when I revised the thread title....
Again my apology to all of you for not being sharp enough to pick up on the guidance you tried to provide...I will work to manage this better in future threads that I start....Mark

That's what's wrong with you.
And your second problem starts here: "I go to Wal-Mart".
Additionally, you can't base an entire industry based on the inventory of a particular store.
Even in different times you need to always be shopin' and have your eyes open.
Anyone could be out of stock for a number of reasons.
You jut have to accept and understand how business works and how inventories vary, prices vary and how any point in time things can change sometimes for the good of the retailer and industry and sometimes for the good of the consumer.

VonFatmani keep "enough" that i won't run out.
don't know what that really means but after clinton but before omboma, i decided i did not want to ever be concerned about reloading components or ammo.
with that mindset, i found myself in an ammo / reloading supplies "glut-period" and spent several months eliminating the concern.
i focused in two areas: .22 Ammo & primers.
the first serious day of .22 ammo shopping my credit card was shut down at checkout in walmart #3
-- my phone rang, and i told them yes, it was me, and i asked them to turn it back on and expect more charges at walmart and other discount stores for a while.
the primers were gathered thru a regional wholesaler who gave c&r holders like me (at the time) dealer pricing. i don't need primers.

Some ShotI think that I've been a little depressed recently and I'm pretty sure that it's because I haven't been able to find any sales on ammo.
I just enjoy buying ammo, but I can't manage to pay more for it than I did last year because I have more than I can shoot up in the rest of my life. Maybe even my kid's lives.
