OK, it was fairly big news back in June when it took place. Then nothing. I find it hard to believe the burglars or whatever have just melted into the woodwork and the guns exported so we never hear or see them again.

I took it kind of hard because I regularly attend gun shows and have a bunch of friends who also do. We've never left our meager junk overnight, but many do because it would be so hard to haul it back and forth.

Usually our NC members are pretty much on the ball and report stuff. This time (unless I missed it) there is nothing. I think they did recover some of the guns out in the parking lot. I wonder if they didn't bother with fingerprints and just left it drop. Come on guys, anything?

So it happened overnight between Saturday and Sunday?

No security guards present? Seems odd.

I'm in NC and I haven't even heard of this. And even more worrying, I'm in 911 dispatch and we usually get messages when something like this happens, and again, never heard anything.

I have not heard of any arrests, but they did have two guards in the room overnight this past show.

I don't set up at NC Shows, just VA (FFL) and know there was a big thing on facebook about a guy that was shoplifting in NC
he hit a few shows in VA and got a pistol off the table of a friend of mine,

he was caught, seems his pic was put on every social media and eventually someone recognized him,

this was earlier in the year,

I do not do facebook, my brother does and showed me the info

as far as packing up overnight, only the little guys do,

depending on the show, I have between 6 and 10 tables of stuff , basically a van load,
we cover on Fri and Sat nights,

however C&E, SGK and Showmasters has armed security (usually local off duty police) working overnights,

not saying some stuff may disappear, that has happened in the past to some dealers,

The show was last June, like June 2016. It made the national news for a couple of days, the Greensboro paper for a few more. The media just let it drop.

Yes there was a guard (reportedly) there but he was asleep (his own claim).

Like most news... you never hear the REST OF THE STORY.

I know several arrests have been made and guns have been recovered. I know we have assisted the ATF with investigations but I'm not able to divulge all the details I am privy to.

I know we have recovered several of the stolen weapons during other unrelated investigations
