parabellumWhy does Chrome keep yammering at me about Flash Player?
I don't freaking CARE that Flash will no longer be supported after December, 2020. That's more than a year away! Leave me alone!
I don't use Chrome for the most part. I use Firefox, but sometimes accidentally open Chrome. Just get over it already! Hey, Google- here's an idea- start warning Chrome users about this NEXT FREAKING YEAR!!

Some would say that Flash did die many, many years ago, but its zombie incarnation continues to molest the living.

konata88Why does the message target end users? We don’t have any control over it. It should be transparent to us. The website developers need to adjust for lack of flash.
Is there some reason for google to be telling us?

Because Flash is, unfortunately, used for a lot more than just displaying web content. If that's all of which it had ever been capable, perhaps it wouldn't have been the most exploitable, and exploited, pieces of software the world has ever seen.

zoom6zoomI regualarly visit one site that requires Flash. With the latest Firefox update version 69, you can no nonger tell the browser to "allow and remember" that Flash is authorized for that site. Now I have to click on "allow" every damn time I load the page.
