It is very easy to accept the idea that the world would be a better place if people did not have guns... Even Thomas Paine said this... but then he pointed out that there will always be evil men and because of this good men must remain armed.
I personally take it one step further because of some guys who were much smarter than me almost 250 years ago... good men need to be armed because governments will always be.
