The Home and Garden TV channel nearly double CNN’s ratings during the prime time hours last week.

HGTV averaged 1,289,000 viewers from June 3-9 during the prime time hours, according to Nielsen Media Research. Their ratings came in third for the week behind only Fox News and MSNBC. USA Network, TNT and the History Channel rounded out the top six, and they were the only networks to average over one million viewers.

Comparatively, CNN came in at fifteenth, averaging 762,000 viewers a night during the same timeframe.

Other networks that were able to beat out CNN include the Hallmark Channel, A&E Network, and the food network. (RELATED: CNN Falls To Food Network In Last Week’s Ratings)

CNN’s ratings took a minor dip dating back to the month of April, where they averaged 767,000 viewers in primetime. But, that number marked a 26% drop from April of last year to this past April, according to Forbes.

Forbes’ Mark Joyella reported that April came in as CNN’s lowest-rated month among viewership in nearly four years, dating back to October 2015.

If nobody is watching, how much more irrelevant can CNN get?

I've noticed at my Doctor's waiting room, and many other public places where there is a TV, they choose HGTV for viewing because it suits everyone. With HGTV, nobody will complain. Once upon a time, it was CNN that was chosen for this duty, but no longer.

Imagine if they didn't have the airport contract.....

I have heard that CNN International is what provides the revenue to keep the domestic CNN in business. I'm inclined to believe it. I wonder what cash cow MSNBC uses?

I'm absolutely amazed cnn had 762,000 viewers. It begs the question who are these people?

According to the article MSNBC is doing pretty well. Shows the hardcore commies are still in business.

Amazed anyone watches CNN.

And I think this is really the reason why MSNBC does well. They're the loonie left, un-American, propaganda wing of the DNC and damn proud of it, while CNN continues to try and perpetuate a fantasy no one believes anymore.
