Looking to gift the spousal unit a Samsung Smartwatch. They cost $350 down here and the sales people have never heard of a user manual. Almost going in blind. My wife can barely tolerate wearing jewelry, chains, rings, etc. and does so for short periods of time. She went through chemotherapy a decade ago and the subject is touchy so I'll leave it alone. Most likely the cause of her intolerance I am wondering about the watchband and its material. Found something about rashes by previous G3 editions and such. Anyone have similar skin issues and owns a Samsung wearable? Thanks. If the gift works, ill start lobbying for a his and hers status. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

Yes I do, however it's from the crown being at the 3 o'clock position, rubbing the skin of the wrist. So I usually look for watches with the crown at the 2 or 4 o'clock position.

I have a Samsung Gearfit 2 Pro smartwatch, and I have no problems with the band or the watch. For what it's worth, I'm in central Florida which is hot and humid, and I am incapable of wearing leather bands because my wrist welts up under them. The rubber or possibly silicon band used by Samsung does not affect me. "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . My wife has a Garmin and the band does not cause an issue the back of the watch case where the heart rate monitor is leaves her with a dry eczema like spot. It does not itch or bother her just looks dry and crackly. She had a Fitbit prior to the Garmin and it did the same. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. My wife has super sensitive skin. Everything gives her a rash. I got her a Fitbit (yeah, I know not as cool as a Samsung watch) and she hasn’t had any issues with the rubber strap. It’s small, comfy, and tells her all about her health. The “lol” thread

Took the plunge. Wife is pleased, so am I. Next, figuring out how it works. Thank you all for your time and advise. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20
