Last year I started this project & got sidetracked for a bit as my wife was diagnosed with cancer. Shes responding well to the chemotherapy and I finally got this thing finished. I was wanting a colonial themed carving project for our three season room. I found a photo of the painted black whale Tavern sign online and an old 60’s menu with the logo on Flea-Bay which I bought & used as a template. After enlarging it I transferred it to a blank of poplar wood I had. It ended up being 2’ x 4’ but after hanging it I almost wish I’d made it larger!
