I made it so far, now I'll go for more |
Just recently my music app is showing up on my lock screen when I wake the phone. It is annoying, how do I get rid of it? Bob I am no expert, but think I am sometimes.

Force close the music app when you’re done listening to music and it won’t be there on your lock screen anymore. It’s there so you can play/pause, skip and see the title of which song you’re currently listening to without having to unlock the phone. Supposed to be a convenience thing.

X How do I force close? Bob I am no expert, but think I am sometimes.

With the X, swipe up from the bottom of the screen like you’re going to go to your home screen from an app but hold your thumb or finger on the screen and you’ll see your other apps appear next to the music app that’s hanging there with your finger. Then lift your finger and place it on the music app for about a second til you see a red circle with a minus sign in the corner. When that appears you can either tap that red circle to force close it or swipe up on the app itself.

I just tried to recreate your scenario and with my current song on the lock screen, I just swipe up from the bottom which returns me to my Music Playlists, I just swipe up once again from this screen and the Music Playlists screen returns to my Music app at the bottom of the phone where I keep it. Hope this works. The X is a great iPhone, the best so far IMO. Regards, Will G.

If you've tried closing all apps that could possibly be playing music and that did not work, try rebooting your iPhone.

My car is the Bluetooth device, but it certainly isn’t running all the time. I have rebooted but have to redo the face id after. Besides it only lasts till I run the car radio again. Bob I am no expert, but think I am sometimes.

Are you saying that it made you re-setup Face ID after doing a reboot? If so, that’s not right. Something is wonky with your phone if so.

Similar problem with iPhone se. When phone is on blue tooth. Subaru blue tooth will connect and the phone opens the last audio app. I have not found a way around it. Other vehicle have similar problem with CarPlay. Pandora opens when CarPlay connected. If it wasn’t for the MFI hearing aid connect I would go to Android.

You can't go home again |
Let us know how you make out. It drives me nuts as well. Music or no music open, you should have the option to shut that off it's annoying and I never use it. --------------------------------------- Life Member NRA “If you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to. What portion of the app is on the lock screen? When I have music playing I get the skip/back arrows, volume and song info. This has been that way forever. If you go under notifications and select music you can turn off notifications and other things but this doesn’t stop the play controls from appearing on the lock screen. This might help too. I have most of these off on my 7 Plus. https://www.howtoisolve.com/di...reen-widgets-ios-11/

If your problem is that when you get in your car the music automatically starts playing then it isn’t your phones problem it’s how your car radio is configured. Some car stereos with streaming Bluetooth are setup to automatically play when you get in and the car connects to the phone. One of my cars does this the other does not. The only way I know to stop this is to upload a blank song and name it AAA into your Apple Music. When you get in the car it will play the blank song. _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.

I found this "fix" on the net. But what if the app opening is not apple music. In my case (in Subaru) it is a Tinnitus background application. Here is a link covering the problem: http://osxdaily.com/2017/07/29...phone-car-bluetooth/
