Strange that someone we have never met or know personally can influence a major decision in our life. My wife and I wanted a dog and we were looking at breeders. I for some reason at that time told my wife we need to look at shelters and pets needing to be re-homed. We ended up originally with 3, but 1 recently past which leaves us with our 2 current fur-kids. They bring us so much joy in our life.

I realized now reading over the posts in this tread it was James' adoption drives that influenced my decision.

Rest in peace James.

I never knew the man or of his history on this forum but in reading some of the posts about him here I am struck with a profound sadness. That's about all I can say. RIP James. Prayers sent to you and your family.

This makes me very sad. While I’ve never met James, his posts seemed like he would have been a great friend. He reminded me quite a lot of a former neighbor of mine that also went before his time. My condolences to James’s family, they will be in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace James.

I didn't know James either, but reading through these pages and looking at the pictures, it's obvious this man lived his life trying hard to be the best man he could be and was loved and cherished by many. He was a very rich man.

It tells me a great deal that though I did not know him, reading/looking through this thread has made my screen a little blurry.

A very rich man indeed.
