darthfusterVenmo ?
I don't use it with strangers. I don't like the public broadcasting of transactions either.

sadlerbwI prefer square’s Cash app, but if you trust the person sending the money, Venmo is no worse than PayPal...and also no better. I’ve used Zelle once, and while I had no problem with the transaction, I would have preferred not to allow yet another vector into my account. Of course, I can be a bit paranoid about financial data!

bigdealFirst off, get used to this sort of payment arrangement given its the way things are going to be done going forward. As noted, Venmo is not super secure, so you should only take or initiate payments using it with family and good friends. Personally, I only 'take' payments via Venmo. Zelle is far more secure and will become more popular as time goes on. Eventually, the banks themselves will own this market completely because it is the future of consumer payment processing.

BBMWI dislike any third party that wants to attach itself to my bank account. My bank offers Zelle. I'm not using that a lot, an for business transactions.
