Milo Yannopoulos’s visa to Australia was recently denied on character grounds. The protests his last visit caused were listed as one of the reasons as well. Damn shame Australia is catering to people who want to silence people simply because they don’t like what they are saying. A very vocal right wing gay man is apparently too much for their “tolerant” society.

He can appeal the decision but I wonder what his chances are of actually overturning the decision?

Did they also ban the internet? Then, he can still reach people in that country and there's jack squat that the Aussie gov't can do about it.

But what if he were to say something that hurt someone's feelings?

When the war comes, those who think clearly and rationally will be victorious, and that ain't them. The left has nothing to do with clear and rational thinking. They're a bunch of blubbering, virtue-signaling weaklings, and I hope I'm still around when we bury these idiots.

I guess I don't get the response. If there is a majority of Aussies that loathe Milo, wouldn't a better approach be to completely ignore him and no one go to any of his events? Wouldn't the 'snub' and disinterest prove more valuable from a standpoint of minimizing the man and his position than giving him loads of free publicity from which he can damage his attackers and their agenda?

Its almost as if these folks in Aussie land are afraid to let Milo come into the country because he might just draw some large crowds interested in what he has to say. Hmmmmm. Wink

About the only thing Australia has going for it are a few pretty girls.

They aren't too tough to find elsewhere, and since Milo is gay I reckon he's bothered less than we can imagine.

Oh, our gubbermint bans more than a few talkers, activists and the like from entry, not just the righteous. "Character grounds". Yeah right.

The commentary about riots and such - when Milo was last here, the rally locations were kept under wraps until the night before. I think at best, there were some 50 protestors in Sydney, the 'civil rights' signage was absolute rubbish.

Aussie Gov't said - Mr Yiannopoulos would “incite discord in the Australian community or in a segment of that community”, pointing to the large protests that happened during his last visit to Australia in 2017. Oh for ...

David Icke (Brit conspiracy theorist)is another recent visa refusal. So to Gavin McInnes (US men's rights).

The longer the gov't tries to protect the everyday sheeple here, the worse it becomes.

So glad there's SigForum and Milo's press, articles and Youtube. And Ben Shapiro, and Dinesh D'Souza.

Our little banana democracy.

But do you feel safer knowing that your government takes over for your momma when you grow up and sheids you from scary speech? You should feel so safe and cozy knowing they provide a continent sized safe space.

Luckily we are a few years away from that, for us it's just centers of higher learning protecting students from free speech and thoughts.

cjevans, do you think Milo has any chance of getting this decision overturned?

This social credit BS that limits travel is the kind of behavior evil governments like the communist Chinese would engage in. Banning a humorous vocal gay man because what he says might endanger public safety is dishonest, unfair and pathetic. Australia should be ashamed of itself.

They don't have the rights we have, but that doesn't make this the right thing to do.

Fuck the Australian government.

Like Ryan, I thought most Aussies were not pajama wearers, and could take hearing a contrary and even offensive opinion.

I don't think Milo wants to appeal the visa denial.
Not that it is beyond his abilities, it's just not worth his valuable time.

Milo can re-apply anytime, with supporting documentation from like minded groups within Aus.

The Victorian State government will likely want a $50k bond for 'police duties' ...

In the meantime, Milo supporters are looking to organize a series of Milo webinars.

Milo will likely get his visa next time he applies. As it's likely we will have another PM next year.

Aussie politics, it's like arguing with a fool.
