Georgia man arrested last night planned to attack White House today, FBI says

Why do you believe he has an entrapment defense?

The entrapment defense usually works only if it can be demonstrated that the police were the source of the subject’s idea or plan, and it’s not something he would have done without urging or other efforts by the police. If he thought of it himself then the fact that the police then abetted his acts doesn’t constitute entrapment. There have been many cases the FBI has made in similar circumstances (based on what little we know at this point).

He had changed his name at some point.
I don't have any problem with them arresting this idiot but he had no way to get to the White House, or even the next county.
21 year old living with his mother and traded his old car to the undercover agents for what he thought were weapons.
Without the "help" of the Fed's, he could have eventually been a danger to people living close by with crude weapons and a crude attack plan.
