Is this new? I don’t remember ever getting a poll from the bar association before.

The Texas Supreme Court isn’t known for being liberal, but I guess I don’t trust why any branch of the government would be trying to see how I plan to vote in judicial elections.

A few more details would help.

Apparently, it’s been a thing since at least 2019.

“ Dear Attorney:

At the direction of the Supreme Court of Texas, the State Bar of Texas is conducting a poll of the contested Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals, and courts of appeals district races on the 2024 primary election ballot.

This is a non-partisan straw poll of current State Bar members. It is a preference poll only and has no bearing on the election”

I can’t see a reason for this.
