Switzerland: welfare moochs must pay back welfare to get citizenship

I guess Switzerland is getting stricter with their path to citizenship!

As part of the new criteria they must show they have 'cultivated contacts' with a number of Swiss people.

There are also new language requirements, which vary depending on the canton they are living in.

Although not part of the European Union the Swiss Government has pledged to play its part in resettling families fleeing Syria.

In 2016, they announced they would take 3,000 asylum seekers from the war-torn country.

It was reported at the time that the country also aimed to settle up to 50,000 asylum seekers who had managed to make their way across the border and into Switzerland, mostly by crossing from with Italy following a perilous journey.

The Swiss seem to do a great many things very well.

It is a civil engineer’s paradise. They have everything there but flat ground, and ocean access.

They have done a marvelous job minding their own business for centuries.

I believe the term Swiss” is derived from an old Holy Roman Empire term that meant “small, but expensive.”

I’ve not travelled as extensively as some, but if I were to move, that is where I would want to go, except I can't handle altitude anymore, I guess.

Well then they become citizens then go back on welfare?

I like the idea of paying back. Should happen here with a time limit on how long one stays on welfare.

I recall seeing an article on BBC a couple of years back where a bunch of dish-dash clad mooslems stomped all over burning Swiss flag, at the same time demanding that the Swiss change the flag to something less offensive to their sensibilities. It seems that the sight of a white cross on a red background had all their panties wedged up.

We can imagine how popular that was in Switzerland, as nothing more seems to have been heard about them since that one time. Anybody here from the Confederation know any more about it?

Fine, let the Swiss give them what they want: invert the color scheme.
