HangtimeGainesvilleCoins - Any experience with them?
I think I'm for a bumpy ride.
Did a sizable online order with them 10 days ago. Wired(yea I know) them money to pay and get better pricing.
Shipping day arrived today so I called in this pm.
There responce to my query on ship date tells me they are going to be 'difficult'. Said they would check 'shipping dept' and call back which they didn't. I've read some online reviews says ther're jerks but don't want to be too prejudiced.
Who if anyone has legal jurisdiction on an online out of state transaction?
I'm in NC and they are probably are in Florida.
Who is a good online coin dealer that you would recommend after I get this cleared up.

tatortoddMy experiences with gainesville coins were flawless. My dealings were in 90% silver Roosevelt dimes and they were honest, fair, and prompt.

ridgeratI have ordered a few times from Provident Metals and from 1st American Reserve, who advertises in NRA publications. I have had no issues with either, but I mostly buy now from a local dealer I like.

HangtimeI'm relieved to hear you guys have had good experience with them.
I ordered bulk silver dollars and some new remakes of walking liberty silver dollars.
Shared this with the wife and she expressed interest in taking over the conversation which is usually a good thing.

mjlennonI also have purchased from them, although not recently. No complaints, would do business with them again. I understand desire to reduce costs, but the meagar cc fee should be considered insurance against tranactions gone bad. I recommend using a card with 2% cash back, that way only costs you net 1%~.

Good Point about CC cash back offseting the cc premium upcharge. Next time I'll do it that way.
I never did get a call back from them so we will see how much hassle they make it. Funny business compared to amazon other e commerce sites I shop.

From their website:
BANK WIRE PAYMENTS.
If you choose to pay by bank wire, Gainesville requires a five percent (5%) credit card authorization for domestic transactions (see below for international transactions). Gainesville must receive bank wire payments for the full order amount within the earlier of twenty-four (24) hours of sale confirmation or the following business day. Once the bank wire is received for the full amount, the five percent (5%) credit card authorization will be voided. NO coins will be shipped from Gainesville until payment for said coins is received in full. If the bank wire payment is not received within the stated time frame, Gainesville Coins reserves the right to cancel the order confirmation. Due to non-payment, the five percent (5%) authorization will be captured in accordance with our cancellation policy. This will represent the five percent (5%) cancellation fee and the customer will still be responsible for the market loss that associated with the order.
Bank wire transfers must include your name as well as your address (including city, state, and zip code). If for whatever reason an address is not present on the wire transfer, your order will not be authorized by our security department for shipment and your money will be immediately refunded unless a notarized document is sent confirming the information.
PLEASE NOTE OUR LEGAL DEPARTMENT REQUIRES GAINESVILLE COINS TO SHIP TO THE ADDRESS REFERENCED ON YOUR ORDER CONFIRMATION. IF YOU SELECTED AN ALTERNATE SHIPPING ADDRESS ON CHECKOUT STEP 1 "PERSONAL INFO", YOUR ORDER WILL BE SHIPPED ACCORDING TO YOUR REQUEST. IF YOU SELECTED SAME AS BILLING THE ORDER WILL BE SHIPPED TO THE BILLING ADDRESS PROVIDED. ONCE YOUR ORDER IS CONFIRMED, GAINESVILLE COINS WILL NOT ADJUST THE SHIPPING ADDRESS IN ANY WAY.
Did you pay a deposit via card?
Just trying to figure out if there might be a snag somewhere.
I assume you received confirmation of order notices etc.

HangtimeI did pay the deposit with card and it was released.
I did recieve confirmation of order and I printed them out.
I have as of now an account with the order showing open and payment recieved.
I'd just like to get my coins any day now instead of several weeks or many weeks later. Not sure why they take so long. Seems real straight forward to me when recieving wired payment.
