Donald Trump Rally: Do you need tickets to get in?
I can’t find a solid answer any where. I do know that having a ticket/registering online doesn’t guarantee you entrance.

To get a ticket, you register online, provide an email address and your limited to 2 tickets, both of which must have names and emails.

They give more “tickets” than capacity. Which makes sense because not everyone will end up going. I got one for my wife, but she cannot go.

I imagine the registration process is more for data collection and crowd estimation, etc.

Does anyone actually know if you need a ticket to get in? From what I’m seeing, entrance is first come first serve.

I'll take 1, 2 if available.

I’m not selling offering tickets. I want to know if you actually need tickets to get in.

Let’s say I camp out all night and I’m the first guy in line. If I didn’t register, can I still get in?

You're correct that it isn't clear.

In my experience in only going to one rally (Bob Dole, University of Scranton) it's free. Friend of mine was a student there and got us tickets.

So...you needed tickets for entrance?

My wife and I went to the Herhey, PA rally. Of all the people around us, no one showed a ticket.

As I recall, yes we did. It wasn't like a concert ticket with bar code or a movie ticket that they tore part off. It was just a ticket for entrance to the rally that you showed the people at the door. I used to have it but I lost it in one of the moves over the years.

I kinda figure that’s how it’d work, or else the they’d say “No entry without ticket”, or something like that.

Faux ticket requirement = polling data

I think that's pretty much it. They want people to sign up online so they can gather voter data. And frankly, they need that data. This kind of polling data actually really helps the campaign.

Now to your question, I have no idea.

My wife and I have been to several Trump rally's, though a couple years ago.
We obtained the tickets online.
We found that having a ticket does NOT guarantee getting in. You wait in line and wait. When capacity is met the doors are closed.
We also found that having to stand and wait several hours for Trump to show was also the norm.
Not much fun when your in a auditorium that's hot and packed and no where to sit down.

I've been to two of his rallies here in WV (Charleston and Huntington). The ticket isn't any guarantee, like others have said. I kept the barcode on my iPhone, just in case. Never been asked for at the gate.
Go very early. Prepare to wait a while.
It's worth every second.
