doublesharpMost of the heavy hitters on GB charge a flat fee that covers shipping & auction fees. 15% is typical but some go 20%. No 1099s either.
I agree that this is not the best time to liquidate.

captain127I guess I am a different breed of cat so to speak, in that only a few guns ( inherited from my departed dad, my very first gun ever a hunting shotgun given to me by my brother, and a few obtained while deployed in Afghanistan)have any emotional attachment for me. I gave up long ago trying to amass a huge collection and focus on the guns I need for the specific types of shooting I do plus a back up in case of breakage or other problems. At one point I was probably close to 100 or more guns, now am at about 20 and have a gun for every purpose I need, and a back up.
I don’t do safe queens everything gets shot/ used.

DoctorSoloI sold a few good pistols, and a couple that didn't work for me. Had no choice then.
Now I'm very careful about what I buy, not selling any more, as long as it serves a role.

ridgeratI found that sometimes I enjoy the hunt more than the actual gun. So, I have sold or traded a few that I just didn't like, for various reasons.

selogicWith all due respect , nobody else can tell you what the rules are for selling off your guns . It's a personal decision with different criteria for different people .

darthfusterDon’t sell any HKs or SIGs. Everything else is fluff.
