You see all kinds of advanced video displays in Asia. One building in Dalian China looked like an aquarium with fish swimming inside. Beijing has a covered outside mall and the entire understand of the "cover" is a video screen that shows continuous messages similar to the "Matrix" code screens. You can send a text message and have it appear.

This one is really cool with the 3D effect though.
