I’m the guy who is soaked before anyone else breaks a sweat. Will I just be throwing money away with anything other than kydex?

Ymmv. I hike and bike with a hybrid iwb holster - leather back and Kydex front. I haven’t had issue with sweat ruining holsters prematurely.

I sweat something ridiculous. I always have to wear an undershirt even in the winter and my R Grizzle is constantly soaked.
When it is super wet I just make sure to wipe my gun off and let the holster dry at night.
I have a reinforced model and have no issues.

What holster? I'm interested. I have the same problem as the OP.

Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.

Because of the swear, I rub leather conditioner well into the leather. I just use Mothers or Meguires. Don’t want that salt hanging around.

Been using these for years for this reason.

Outstanding holsters. Sold my Milt Sparks and everything else, using these solely.

Never had a problem with excessive sweat & my OHC with both my KT P11 & Sig P320C.

Usually let it air dry completely before wearing again.

Haven't soaked the Vedder that replaced it, yet.

I sweat a ton also, but my Alien Gear IWB has foam of some sort on it and the sweat doesn't make it to my gun.

This stuff works great.
My belt is worn daily and still going strong, well into it's second decade.
Some of the holster makers sell and recommend it and you can find it easily on the net.
I use both the Heavy Duty LP and the Leather oil.

FWIW, I have made a point to use horse hide holsters which are more resistant than steer leather. My go to choice is Kramer but I think if you stay with horsehide it will be an improvement.
