I've got a new book to read: Discrimination and Disparities

Good stuff.

The "War on Poverty" has been going on for a little over 54 years now, since LBJ announced it in his State of the Union address.
The rate hasn't dropped in spite of an almost 50% increase in the population, in other words, way more total numbers are in poverty now than then.
So why are we always doubling down on this failed approach?
It's all about buying votes and a few missguided good intentions.
