Great work. I give you a lot of credit. My brain cannot comprehend a diet where you cannot eat certain fruits and veggies. If eating a fruit or veg is going to sabotage my weight loss im screwed.

Great job. You have inspired me to do better. I could stand to lose 10 or 15 pounds probably.

Honestly, after you go so long without any of the forbidden foods, you get used to it and you don't even desire those things anymore.

Now keep in mind that keto and carnivore are lifestyles meant for losing weight. Once you reach your goal and have no fat to burn, you can start adding carbs. And you can still enjoy your favorite treats, but they shouldn't be part of your regular diet. You can choose to stay on keto/carnivore, or choose to modify things once your goals are met.

I'm having a cheat meal tonight and it will stall my weight loss by about two days. Once you have no fat to burn, your body will need more fats for fuel and you can add some carbs so supplement your energy goals.

I plan on switching to the Mediterranean diet once I reach my goal of less than 20% body fat.

But for those in weight loss phase, keep in mind that it's nearly impossible to out exercise bad eating habits. With my current body fat, I have about 30 days of body fat fuel in reserve if I stopped eating all together. The more carbs I eat, the more my body relies on consumed fuel. That means I never tap into my reserves and I don't lose weight.

With my current fat adaptation (meaning your body is adapted to burning fat for fuel), I achieve ketosis (burning fat) within about 12 hours of fasting. For a normal person who is not fat adapted, it would take 2 days of fasting before their body would reach ketosis (fat burning).

Because I go 18 hours minimum before eating, I get six hours of fat burning in each day before I consume any food and my body switches to burning what I just ate.

I hope that makes sense.

Eat healthy, my friends!

Tony.
