In today's episode of Trigger-Happy Police Wimmins!!!!!!
Anyone catch the bracelet that one cop was rockin'? I wonder if she had a matching necklace.

Hence the term: Spray and Pray. When I would qualify new female hires, they presented in two forms: fairly competent and shouldn't even have sharp objects. When I would tell the Bosses about the incompetent ones, I was told "we cant get rid of her. We spent too much money getting her through the Academy". That line of thought always filled me with confidence!

Had this event not publicly exposed their lack of competence and sound decisions making, they'd both likely have ended up as senior management. I imagine this one will be a career ender, though, at the very least.
This is why we can't have nice things.

Did I see that correctly? They simply opened fire when the car alarm went off?
Holy carp that was a mess.
THEN the called on the radio "Shots Fired." Ya think?

All the way back in 2017 (probably earlier), I noticed this trend and commented on it:
I want police officers to take down bad guys with guns. I want them to take down people who are pretending they have guns in order to get the police to take them down. I want the police to take down suspects who are running from them or otherwise resisting.
I do not want police officers taking down people with cell phones in their hands, people in the vicinity of a car backfiring, or who are otherwise law abiding citizens that pose no threat whatsoever.
quote:
I believe some of these problems are a direct result of the fear officers were taught to have in training.
quote:
Just like I don't wish to be around bad guys with guns, I also don't wish to be around scared officers with guns. Both can end with tragic results.
We need to stop brainwashing officers to believe that they will die on the job multiple times a day. This could be any of us walking to answer our door, or walking down the street when an acorn falls on the roof of a car.

From what I saw in the video, the car alarm isn't what triggered her to start firing. It had been going for several seconds before she saw the victim through the window and started firing. She did yell something unintelligible as she began firing, but there would not have been enough time for the victim to react, even if she could have heard what was said over the noise of the alarm. Not that any of that makes it better...just trying to clarify the sequence of events. I don't think the car alarm was much of a factor.

That's putting it mildly! In other vids, you can hear the blonde deputy say, "Drop the gun!"
Problem is deputy w/ glasses starts her mag dump at, "Drop the-." Kind of hard to comply w/ a police command when they don't give you the chance to comply.
Reminds me of the Ryan Whitaker shooting execution a few years ago where Phoenix PD shot him while he was putting his gun on the floor.
Quote from Ofc Jeff Cooke involved in that shooting, "I was instantly in fear for my life and for John, and I saw him go right toward John w/ the firearm. I then shot him and ended the threat."
