RipleyPosting on X
Maybe not the place to ask about another site's system, guess I'll find out.
I rarely post on X but thought I had something to say and wanted to include a picture. It seemed easy enough, click on "media" and choose pic. I'd already downsized to not big at all. X displays a much larger pic, way too large. There's a sizing slider but it's already at the smallest choice, sliding makes it bigger.
Do I need some other level as a poster, beyond just another yahoo who registered at that basic level?

When you say you downsized it, how did you downsize it? Did you just click on a corner with your mouse and made it smaller? That won't downsize the pic. You need an editor that changes it from however many pixels it was originally to something smaller. You can do it by pixels or inches.

RipleyI made a small .jpg 250 pixels high. I don't know how big the image displayed in the post composition was, I'll guess 600-800 pixels. The edit tool would only make it bigger.

FenderBenderUse the biggest image you can on X. It will resize for you.

Ripley^^
Thanks, I guess that makes sense, keeps giant pics off the board. I'll have to find some backwater, no traffic thread and see if I can live with how X displays a given image.

X doesn't function the way sigforum does. It'll look how it looks.
