This morning, she defended her thesis, and after about 2 hours or so was told she "passed" or whatever term they use. Master of Science- General Chemistry. They will walk in December outside at the football stadium. Belive me, she has busted her tail and earned every ounce of it. Tonight, we feast!

That is hundreds of hours of grinding paying off. The intelligence, work ethic and perseverance involved is truly something to be proud about. You did something right along the way for sure, dad.

A lot of people do not understand the work involved with a hard science graduate degree. I tip my hat to her and to you for fostering values and giving support to a very worthy effort. What is next for her?

Can you give us an idea what the thesis was about...get as technical or not as you want.

Congratulations. Job well done by all.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
