Just watched a Netflix documentary on a serial homicide case in the UK in which 10 + women were murdered.
Solved when the suspect was stopped by patrol cops for.... Wait for it.... A registration violation.
And he had a woman in the car when stopped.

Tucker did a segment on this case tonight. 35-year-old Fiston Ngoy was arrested for the rape. He is a citizen of the Congo and is in the county illegally (no surprise). The attack lasted 40 minutes and during the course of the rape he disrobed completely. He has been arrested numerous times in the past (also no surprise). Charges have included resisting arrest, harassment including unwanted physical contact (it was groping), public drunkenness and other offenses. The icing on the cake is he was detained by immigration authorities, but released under the Biden policy of not enforcing deportations except for serious offenses. Apparently the groping, public drunkenness and resisting arrest are not considered serious offenses. I guess this shouldn't surprise me either.

Traffic tickets and parking tickets is what got Son of Sam. Lots of traffic stops have resulted in great arrests and cases. One of my officers stopped a guy for broken windshield. Of course he had warrants and was a convicted felon, who learned metal work and machining while in prison. This is important because during an inventory of his car, a bag of full auto modified firearms were found in the trunk. Just on that, he was looking at forever in Federal Prison. He talked, and ATF and Gang Unit swept up another 30 full auto modified firearms, basically destroying several local violent gangs.

Maybe the original poster (I don't refer to him as I have him on ignore) will let us all know what laws he would like enforced and ones not to enforce. Maybe we can stop doing No registration (which means no state taxes being paid), No Insurance but he can't complain when he gets hit by them, No Driver's License, etc.

It depends, does he have his Covid shots? Most departments have their quota in housecats, so probably not. With staffing issues all departments are going through (not just the Covid shot mandated ones), the housecat positions are being done with and they are being transferred either onto patrol or too close to being on patrol for them. I know of 3 housecats that have put in for PTSD duty disability but the only thing anyone can remember happening to them is a paper cut or a stapler accident. I am waiting to hear about the duty disability from toxic toner exposure, some lawyer and doctor will come up with that one for one of these strokes.

I’m a strong believer in the broken window theory. Unfortunately nobody cares these days.

Also a strong proponent of stops and contacts. I personally interrupted two serial killers, one with a traffic stop that led to an ID and federal charges, the other a terry stop where I found a guy’s rape kit, but there wasn’t enough to arrest him. He later murdered another woman before getting a life sentence. After already serving almost 30 years for a murder. He wasn’t a very good one.

But reality these days is in most cities only the most heinous crimes result in anything. We’ve got the ATV morons, gang members shooting everything up, road rage that results in beatings and shootings. And a DA that lets them all go. It’s so endemic it’s not even worth complaining about anymore. I just try to keep my guys happy enough to not quit, but THATS not even good enough now. I just lost two that decided to take the pay cut and go to the fire department.

Current rookie class started at 38. Last I checked there are 18 left and they are still two months and a state test from starting field training. We’re somewhere around 200 short. When we hit rock bottom, it’s gonna suck.

These people won’t be satisfied until America resembles a Mad Max movie.

I stopped a guy for speeding and arrested him for possession of psilocybin mushrooms for sale. DNA hit identified him as the previously unknown suspect who had stabbed and slashed a random woman to death as she walked down the street.

Interesting to see how the homicide, theft and violent crime rates have gone up as proactive law enforcement contacts have been reduced or eliminated all together.

Philadelphia is a shithole. Ask anyone that actually lives or spent time there. Anyone that thinks this will improve things is either out of their gourd or doesn’t live there. Possibly both.

It's a slow day so far in Philadelphia. Only one stabbing so far (it's noon) and some guy riding around on a bike groping and fondling women. Plenty of time for more mayhem as the day progresses.
