Several years ago they said we would be inundated
with massive Hurricanes every year. Severe damage and flooding. Well, this was another mild season with only a few that made landfall with little damage. Hurricane season ends November 30.
They will spin it saying that climate change is the reason for this too.
As usual, follow da money.

Climate change does occur. The earth goes through cycles of hot and cold which is completely normal for a planet that is tilted off its axis, in our case 23.4° that gives us seasons as it makes its yearly journey around the sun. The evidence of the cycle is in the fossil record, and is most obvious when you look at drilled cores from ancient ice.

But the ice only lets us look back so far because there was a time when there was no ice on the planet because it was too hot. That’s right, not any at all. If you ask an alarmist why that might be, they get a little vague because it was from times when, somehow, the earth got MUCH warmer LONG before man burned fossil fuels. In fact, there probably wasn’t much fossil fuels around yet to burn.

This is all because the planet goes through cycles that transcend man’s ability to alter them. Throw in the suns fickle nature, monumental global catastrophes like impacts from objects from space, unimaginable periods of volcanism, gamma ray bursts, and the fact that the tiny surface skin we inhabit is floating on the vast interior of blistering hot mantle down to a liquid iron core.

The arrogance exhibited by the alarmists should be turned rather focused on why so many countries like China and India, among others, are powering their growth with fossil fuels that make the US look historically like pikers. No, we can’t go after those folks; we have to save the planet by forcing everyone to give up gas stoves, wood burning furnaces, and ICE cars. As many have said, follow the money to failed solar and wind projects where tax dollars simply disappeared.

It all almost makes me want to see a hundred year eruption in Iceland that pumps so much sulfur dioxide and particulates into the atmosphere that we have a mini ice age… but that would be truly catastrophic. So much so that the same alarmists would have to admit that the earth will do what it’s been doing for billions of years. Minimal input from human activity.

Gear hound said it better than me... but,

Just my opinion...
Climate change is real... at least if you believe the geologist and such... it is a natural event that takes 10s of thousands of years to occur. The big deal is if we are changing that with all our crap we are putting out in the atmosphere.... and for some reason this has become political. When the reality is we should try to stop 'littering' the planet regardless of whether it is changing the climate or not.

the reality is we could all be toast tomorrow from either something we made or something we have no control over.... I realized this many years ago looking down into the caldera of the volcano on the big island and a little plaque said that there had been an 'event' a few year ago where the floor had risen up 800ft. this hole on the top of this massive mountain is so damn bit it is hard to imagine that anything can be so powerful as to lift the floor of it up like that... man surely can't... but Pele can.

Not to mention fueling deforestation by creating the demand for fancy tropical hardwood furniture I guarantee you could find in the offices of hypocritical world leaders berating us for wanting us to be able to travel, have sustained uninterrupted power, etc.

People are trained to think the earth is dying every time there is some unusual weather. We have taken a family vacation since I was a kid during the 3rd week in October and when I look back through our vacation picture album some years we are snow skiing and some years people had swimming suits on all week.

I’m all for being responsible and being good stewards our planet but the dramatic way the trained monkeys react to every climate event is not a crisis.

The most absurd thing about man made climate change, is the idea that it can be reversed. Even if you believe that mankind has contributed to the warming of the planet, its literally impossible to know how much. Yet, it's believed that we know exactly what actions and how much of them will heal the planet in a given time frame.
Electric cars, stop eating beef, sacrificing our a/c and heat, carbon credits, oh, and a whole lot of tax dollars, hurry it's already too late!

Hurricanes are a natural release of energy- Lots of energy.

I've always wondered what would happen if we could stop hurricanes as some seem to want. What would happen to all the unreleased energy? The natural balance would be off and IMHO the consequences would be catastrophic.

I'm reminded of the meme I've seen recently. "Daddy, why doesn't China care about climate change? Because they already have a communist government."

This is what affects the climate in the order of magnitude.

1. Solar output.

The Sun goes through cycles just like everything else. There is a documented 11, 42k, and 100k cycles that change solar output.

2. Distance from Earth to Sun.

Earth's orbit is not a perfect circle, it wobbles a bit. Sometimes we run a little closer, and sometimes a little farther out.

3. Angle from Earth to Sun.

As mentioned before the Earth's axis wobbles a bit. 2 and 3 are spelled out in the Milankovitch Cycles.

4. Position of Earth's continents.

As relates to ocean conveyors. Change one of the large conveyors and you're looking at a big change.

5. Atmospheric composition.

We have a very small hand in this. When compared to let's say 65 million years ago (3000ppm) the Earth is CO2 starved. So, what we are adding today (taking the level past 400ppm) has been in the atmosphere before at 10 times the rate it is now.

Now the hoax started in 1988 before a Congressional hearing featuring Dr. James Hansen. This hearing was in June, and they turned off the AC to the building for cameras. Two years after the Challenger explosion. NASA was fearing huge budget cuts. So, they made up a boogeyman. It's as simple as that. No one at the time asked the question, "What does the National Aeronautics and Space Administration have to do with climate?" That's what they created to keep the agency floating in tax payers money.

I remember during High School that all the "Climatologists" said we were headed to an Ice Age. Snow was higher and temps were cooler. Now the World is going to have Storms and Floods and the Seas will ALL rise! I saw a picture of the water level @ the Statue of Liberty taken 100+ years apart and it was no higher.

How many congregants of doomsday preachers end up dead early? These climate change doomsayers are no different and their congregants will pay dearly. Seizing natural cycles to explain doom is like a wet water doom culture. Water is wet. None will survive unless a price is extracted. It’s not even brilliant. The end of society will be at the hands of ignorance and gullibility.

I will alter slightly Dena Dietrich's catch phrase...

"Don't F--- with Mother Nature."

REGARDLESS of what man does, Mother Nature will right itself as planned and on her schedule. She's been doing it for THOUSANDS of years ever before man-made sh*t started showing up. And YES...it is one big, fat, money-grabbing, FAKE NEWS, ponzi scheme hoax.

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

If anyone is interested the link provided is to a paper written by a University of Pennsylvania law student. Not a scientist, but this is one of the very best comprehensive look at this topic.

https://scholarship.law.upenn....=faculty_scholarship

Dr. Michael Mann has been to court twice, and has lost both times. When this topic goes to court the advocacy side loses, and this paper explains why.

Yes, the climate is changing. It may well be getting a titch warmer, and humans may be contributing a tiny bit to it. Then again, lots of science indicates CO2 isn't much of a factor.

But CO2 is an easy way to extort money from average people to enrich governments and elites. It is also a handy lever to control the population.

We do have some big environmental issues that are far more threatening to our long term survival, and which are generally damaging this beautiful planet. Water, especially ground sources, are being depleted badly. Top soil is rapidly depleting. We're putting millions of tons of poisonous chemicals into the ground and the water. Plastics are damaging life everywhere at every scale.

Climate change is not a hoax.

The mass hysteria based off its consequences are a hoax.

There is a difference.
