Lol. Rburg you are pretty funny! But congrats!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Wonder where they got that number?

A few years back my own Sweet Bride was telling me it been "42 or 43 years".....I responded to the effect, "why yes dear, it seems like the best couple years of my life"....apparently language skills continue to remain marginal far longer than we might expect.

Its not a big party. Taking the family to my favorite restaurant (she won't tell me where hers is). And we made reservations with Julie, my favorite waitress. Yes, she's nice enough looking and also a great server. Guess I need some help here. How much should I tip her? I'm guessing a bunch. On our usual night there, I tip here about 50% of the bill. But I'm guessing maybe $100 would be nice. She took care of the reservation and ran interference with the lockdown crap. And doesn't care for the 10 person limit because we'll have 12 or 14.

I don't care about the seating as long as I can sit by my grandkids. I asked Momma about it, and she doesn't care because she likes them all.

50% of the bill should be plenty I would think.

All you guys are just a bunch of "whippersnappers" as my grandfather would say. Me and Mine have been married for 54 years, but add in the 6 years we dated - that makes for 60 tough years!

A sense of humor tends to make it easier. When people ask what kept us together, we tell them that we BOTH could have done better, but we just decided to make the best of what we got!

A $100 tip would be great. A couple of years ago , I went to my favorite pizza place where I had turned 21 50 years previously. I gave that waitress a $50.00 tip.
