If you live in a state where Academy Sports & Outdoors has a strong presence, many Dollar General stores are selling Academy gift cards at 20% off. For example, I paid $80 for a $100 gift card.

AFAIK, the deal is in effect for today only. You have to buy the physical gift card in-person at Dollar General. No online purchases. No promo codes needed. The discount is automatically applied at check out. If it isn't, then I guess your locale is excluded from the deal. Don't ask me why.

I'm posting, b/c I know a lot of us shop at Academy, especially when they have sales on ammo. Black Friday is seven weeks away, so it's a good way to stack discounts.

I ended up getting 15%+10%+$15 off one gun, then went back the next day for another for 15%+10%+$25 off.

Even with sales tax and Academy's slightly high retail markup, both guns ended up being cheaper OTD than if I ordered them from any of the usually much cheaper online gun shops.

I snoozed, I losed.

Keep an eye out and there will be plenty of other opportunities. Dollar General puts their Academy gift cards on sale for 15-20% off every few months.
