No, Barnette is the actual conservative. McCormick is the classic establishment Republican who ten years ago would've had the nomination running away. Oz is a leftist hack and a con man who a decade ago never even would've been in the race. But this is now, and this is where we are.

2 sides of the same coin... Oz and Barnette divide Maga vote and rino wins. Club for Growth funding Barnette is McConnell but does not really matter considering Dominion machines and ballot misprints that will delay the results for several days. No one does treachery as well as the turtle.

Balzé HalzéWell, Trump made a huge miscalculation endorsing that fraud.

It’s a legit concern. But McCormick lead won’t hold.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

PASigLooks like Doug Mastriano won the primary for Governor pretty handily tonight.
Good, we need a good solid Republican after all the damage that King Wolf has caused. I don’t think Wolf’s lackey Shapiro stands a chance this November.

Yes. She was in the National Guard for three years and then the reserves. She has a DD214.
Amazing how effective the smear campaign was against her.
What's amazing is how easily gullible people buy into the propaganda.

PASigI had no idea who this McCormick guy even was but apparently it’s so close between him and Oz that a recount is coming:
Automatic recount expected in Dr. Oz, Dave McCormick US Senate race in PennsylvaniaBarnette was a distant third.

Shapiro's campaign paid for ads that were intended to help Mastriano. They wanted to run against him. The entire Republican establishment in PA is against him. We'll see what happens in November.

divilI certainly don’t underestimate Shapiro. He was an integral part of the PA state voter fraud certification dogshit in 2020. He is plenty dangerous as an opponent.

justjoeI'm pissed that Trump would endorse-- and maybe put in office-- someone like Oz.
I think Trump wants Oz in office
because he has endorsed Oz rather than believing he is good for America. It is all Trump ego. I can't see it any other way.
As of this morning, 95% of votes counted, Oz is .2% in the lead with absentees still to be counted.

Oh FFS
Or maybe Trump understands how the Northeast works and how a VIABLE GOP candidate is key
I'll take Oz over the insane far-left Lurch (John Fetterman) which is what we will end up without a viable candidate.

Fed161To paraphrase William F Buckley, Republicans should nominate the most Conservative candidate who can win. The emphasis is on the last three words. McCormick was the favorite until Trump endorsed Oz. Trump's endorsement is the only reason Oz is doing as well as he is. But does Trump's endorsement mean anything to the center/right Conservatives, soccer Moms and a lot of others in the state. No it doesn't. We will need them to win. I think McCormick has a better shot at beating Fetterman,

DakorI can't stand the defeatist attitude so many have in this forum and in the world today. How the fuck can anyone predict who will win the general election, especially against the libtards when the population is so pissed off at this point in time? Do You Stand For Something is the real question. If you're conservative and willing to fight the Commies, believe in responsible gov't spending, support our military (especially if you served) and a few other qualities and perspectives I share - you have my vote and many others here in PA (+ elsewhere).
If you think "I'll only vote for the candidate that can win"... well you're really not any better than the RINOs in government. Instead, stand up for what's right and fight for it!
I voted for Barnette and would do so again. Hopefully my fellow Americans educate themselves and stop listening to the enemy (the media).

Balzé Halzé^^^ You may be right about that.
Nevertheless, I still think Barnette had an excellent chance as well at winning the race in November.

I guess I should clarify something. I think that McCormick IS the most conservative candidate in the race. That's because he has a record of being a conservative for the longest time of any of the candidates. He is not a recent convert to the cause. Plus as an added bonus, I think he can win.

justjoeHere is just a brief bio blurb about McCormick: "McCormick received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his Ph.D. in international affairs from Princeton University. His professional experience includes working as the CEO of Bridgewater Associates, an investment management firm, and under secretary in both the Department of Commerce and Department of the Treasury. He served in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division during the Persian Gulf War.[1]"
McCormick might be a bit too "establishment Republican," but I don't know how Trump could look at him and at the political charlatan Oz and think-- "Okay. I'm for Oz!"
Despite what can only be described as a campaign of slander against Barnette, she came up with 24% of the vote. Had Trump worked for her instead of against her, she would have won the primary and been a strong candidate in November.
There are still more than 30,000 absentee ballots to be counted and Oz's lead at this point is minuscule, a tenth of one percent.

BassamaticI'm still trying to get my head around the notion that we should be voting for the "right" candidate...even though we know they can't win.
