bald1Need help with my computer graphics card
I almost don't know where to start.
I'm running a Dell Inspiron 3847 (i5-4440) with a GeForce 1050 2GB graphics card. It feeds a Dell U2412M computer monitor and provides a feed to my TCL 65" UHD 4K TV via an HDMI cable.
Recently the feed to the TV became screwy instead of mirroring what was on my monitor it showed an out of sync screen saver image with the taskbar reflecting any clicking I did on my computer but with no result imaged to the screen.
Tried to figure out what was going on to no avail. The Nvidia control panel evidenced no changes from what had worked just fine in the past.
Today when using Win10 Snip and Sketch to capture the screen I got this
which shows BOTH my computer monitor (left) and what would be displayed on my big TV (which is turned off). Only my monitor screen should have been captured. WTFO?
I am completely dumbfounded and have no idea what to do to remedy this. Any help would be most appreciated.

airsoft guySounds like it's extending the desktop instead of mirroring it. Right click on the desktop and click Advanced display settings at the bottom under Multiple displays. In there ought to be the settings to change what your screen displays, I think.

bald1You're right. It showed "extend these displays" so I changed it to "duplicate these displays." Problem solved.
I continue to be astounded and extremely appreciative for the sharing of expertise in so many areas on this forum.
THANK YOU!

sniderawindows update strikes again.....
Even in 'extend' mode, win10 used to screenshot only the monitor your mouse was on, now it screenshots everything. At work, I have a 14' laptop screen, a 21" & a 32" (yes it's weird, but it works & was available). When I screenshot something & paste into anything, it's something like 40" wide & you get to crop it down.
