Same here....7 minutes. I haven't used a microwave in a long time.

MuddflapI’ve been doing the microwave thing for probably 4 years.
I still like on the grill with the husk on best, but if the grill isn’t going, the microwave works great. It’s so easy and fast, I can have an ear of corn, with a sandwich, for lunch. Beats the heck out of a handful of chips.

ggileThe way the corn crop is shooting up around here it won't be long and we'll be having young entrepreneurs selling sweet corn in the area parking lots and farmers markets. I usually buy a couple dozen ears and freeze them to eat over the winter months.
I use a variation of Shugarts method of cooking (which I posted in an earlier post) and that seems to work the best for me.

doublesharpGetting all the whiskers out is a pain when shucking raw corn - Comes out clean as a whistle using the Shugart method.
2 ears 4 minutes works for me.

GT-40DOCI haven't seen much good corn for sale this year. I keep looking, as I love the stuff done in the microwave.
