The quickest/easiest way to cook corn on the cob...
I post this every year when fresh corn becomes available. Obviously, the time will vary depending on the size of the corn and the power of your microwave oven.

I bookmarked that link, have used it dozens of times.

It belongs in the Sig Forum Hall of Fame, along with Aeteocles' steak broiling technique, and the perfect soft-boiled egg.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Now that quick & easy is covered, we can move onto the best way: Smoked corn

It's about the only way we cook them anymore. I still throw a couple on the BBQ every now and then, but not often.

While I like it grilled in the summer when I have time the microwave methods is a time saver. There are times I just would not cook corn without this method.

You can grill corn in the husk and peel it the same way. It comes out super clean. Microwaving it isn't required.

These go to eleven.

peel the husks back and coat with butter and seasoned salt. Wrap it back up in the husks and toss on the grill while the meat is cooking.

Can't be beat, although the nuker method does look easier.

Will have to try that. Just grilled some tonight without the husk to go along with some steaks. Been eating corn for the last 3 weeks now.

Grill mine but may try the microwave.

I shuck and silk then trim up both ends. Sometimes cut in half. Then completely cover with butter by hand working it in / between all the kernels. Salt and pepper well. Wrap in foil sealing it well.
On the grill, turn often. You can usually hear the butter sizzling! Big hit always!

Endeavor to persevere.

Corn on the cob should be fresh.

The freshest is to set up a hotplate with boiling water in a cornfield and bend that stalk over until the ear is submerged.

Watch the minute hand for 5 minutes.

That's all...

I like mine grilled. I like to shuck it, butter it, toss on some old bay or Tony's, wrap in foil and throw it on the grill.

I am a sucker for easy, though. I'll give it a whirl.

2-3 minutes in a pressure cooker is easier and better.

I almost grabbed the pressure cooker and did the ear I had, but changed directions, tomorrow I'll try the microwave method.

Microwave is the fastest way to cook, pressure cooker is way to long, hell the cool down on a pressure cooker takes many minutes, unless you want to get scaled.
Gas grill is quite good
Under a bed of hot coals at camp is great
