By "cleverly timed," you mean it was run in reverse, right? This space intentionally left blank.

I'm finding suspicion in the 2nd flywheel on far side having belt grooves in it. The speed increased too quickly, as if powered. ------------------ The plural of anecdote is not data. -Frank Kotsonis

One of the oldest tricks in the book. Somewhere there is a hidden energy input, perhaps a pressurized air line that overcomes friction losses. Having a nicely balanced flywheel and very slippery bearings reduces these losses, but they are always there.

Youtube is full of these types of magical physics defying videos. I've been looking into well pumps, solar wells, etc. and the place is awash with amazing nonsense. Most of them not from the US. It's a cottage industry, bringing in lot$ of view$.

In this case, if you watch when the device is "wound up" at the beginning, there is a slight glitch in the video, then the device starts to speed up. What they did was put together the beginning part, then used a motor on the pulleys to rev it up, remove the belts, and video it. Naturally, once spun up, it will run for awhile and slow down. They simply took the last portion of the video, ran it backwards, and spliced to the beginning "wind up." In the posted video, the flywheel actually accelerates after they let it go, which is impossible with out additional input. In actuality, the acceleration we see is the deceleration run in reverse. I don't understand why it would sound like that....other than someone's sound effects.

So it's a "hook , line and sinker" scam. Someone figured out that there are people in the world that will pay them if people watch their video numerous times , So They rigged a video that appears one way But They knew it would prompt people to share it with others , And getting more views .
