I've had 4 new Ford Expeditions in a row: silver, white/tan, black/tan, dark blue pearl metallic and tan, and this time went with tri-coat white pearl. I go with what color looks best on that particular vehicle.
HOWEVER, I will never own a black daily driver again in my life. My expedition would get hotter than blazes inside here in South Florida, and you could wash/wax it with a beautiful gloss and in 2 hours would already show dust on it. The white was pretty bad at staying clean if it rained while you were driving it. The silver was the best, looked clean even if you hadn't washed it in 6 weeks and the white metallic I have now is pretty good too.

My current car is black. I had always wanted a black car. NEVER AGAIN! I just had to get the black car thing out of my system.
I have probably time to own one more car before I die or am too old to drive. I'm thinking some kind of desert metallic tan next time. Maybe gunmetal. Something a MiG might be painted in.

I'm not married to the exterior color of the car as much as I am to the interrior. The inside is what I see every time I drive it, and that's the look that's most important to me. That being said Subaru had a metalic baby poop brown that's a deal killer for me. No way, no how. Same thing for the current metalic pistachio that seems so popular on certain vehicles. I've never wanted a black exterior either, but other than that I'll take a discount for any other color the dealer doesn't want.

I have a two mile drive on a dirt/gravel road to get to a blacktop. I'm looking for dust color.

My G80 I got last year is white. While I liked the color it is remarkably cooler than the previously black cars I have had. I'd go white again in a hear beat.

Agreed on both points. One of the cars we have is silver. Bought it solely because they never look dirty.
The Taco is in quicksand color. Only think I would prefer is if it was matte.
I used to go to Griots store in Tacoma and pick up anything I needed. I miss having them around the corner, but sure as hell don’t miss Washington.

I got my new GMC Sierra in bright red. I like it. It's easy to find in a parking lot. All my other trucks have been silver, black, etc.
My wife likes white & she just bought a new Grand Cherokee in the brightest white I've ever seen. That thing almost glows. I call it her Elizabeth Warren car, because it says it's a Cherokee, but it's about as white as you're ever going to get. (I'm NOT trying to inject anything political into the thread. I just think it's funny.)

I voted very bright, red. My Corvette is yellow, my last two Jeeps red. For the wife's Pilot we stuck with silver, will probably do the same next time.

No black, white, or yellow. My current two cars are both blue. Before them, they were burgundy and silver.

I love the dark shiny colors but I'm also obsessive about clean cars, so I'll have to go with light subdued colors. I really like the flat grey that some manufacturers are offering.

When I bought my first car, I really wanted a dark metallic gray, like gun metal. Color doesn't matter to me, but that was my preference.
At the time (2002), I had to settle for what was on the lot, white. It was OK, it grew on me. I didn't like it when it snowed, though.
In 2015, I had to get a new car. Again, I looked for dark metallic gray, but the make/model/trim/specs of the used car mattered more to me. I walked away with a dark blue car. I never thought I'd have a blue car. It grew on me as well, but never felt like "me".
Last year, I totaled that car, and in my replacement search, I finally found the car I wanted, in the dark metallic gray color I had been hoping for for a decade and a half.
Again, color doesn't matter to me, or so I thought. It's been a year and I still smile when I see that damn thing. It actually feels like "me".

I love Mazda's Ceramic. A sort of off-white/silvery-white. Only offered on the Miata & CX-3.
Ford's Guard is probably my 2nd favorite.
My Mercedes is Iridium Silver, because I find it looks great on pretty much all MBZ products, apart from the S-class, which I find more appealing in a darker color like their Anthracite Blue.
Looking back on my car history (1 in-between that I put in gray was my TL, which was Laguna Green, but looked gray): White: 2 Silver: 2 Blue: 2 Red: 1 Green: 2 Gold: 1 Gray: 2
Orange: 1 (Indian Scout that I'm storing for my father-in-law & comsidering buying). This message has been edited. Last edited by: P250UA5,

Color really depends on the vehicle. I cant really say one color looks good for every car.

I was set on that blue for my new Mazda CX-5 but I was offered a great deal on a Machine Gray Signature trim one and I went with that. Now I’m happy I did.

My F250 is bright red and the first red vehicle that I have owned and I like it. However my favorite, with all its faults is black. Yes, a pain to keep clean but it really pops when the chrome and body are cleaned.
