Didn't the same thing happen in Zimbabwe (nee Rhodesia)?

It got its independence. The farm owners were promised their land wouldn't be taken. IIRC, the country did ok for a while, until they decided to redistribute the wealth, then it all went to shithole?

Ironic, the people who terrorize and vandalize these stores, making them both unsafe and unprofitable, will be the same people who then complain that retailers discriminate against them.
