So I have a Proflex 857 with Raceface cranks and Shimano SPD pedals. Since I'm in a neighborhood where I will mostly be getting cruising exercise I'm interested in a set of pedals that if I want to use the SPDs I could but if I just want to pedal around with sneakers or whatever that would be great..Thoughts???

I use an older version of this pedal from Origin 8 platform both sides, and SPD both sides. http://www.origin8.bike/produc...uble-clipless-410060 Dave __________________________ More blessed than I deserve. http://davesphotography7055.zenfolio.com/f238091154

I use the shimano ones on my hack around farm bike and have no complaints. SPD on one side and flat on the other. works great. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

A ProFlex 857? I am guessing you have had that baby for quite a while?

I use Shimano PD-530s on my Salsa mountain bike. They aren't too heavy and give a decent amount of pedal space when not clicked in. For under $50 they are great.

I am a big Crank Brothers fan. Their DoubleShot 2s are super nice. While they do utilize their own cleat the mount to SPD shoes and the pedals come with cleats. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Shimano M324 pedals. I have these on my Bike Friday, and I love them. One side is SPD, the other side just a regular mtb pedal config. Make it three. I have a set on my distance bike. If something goes sideways with shoes, I can still finish the ride.

Anyone know of any pedals made in the States? ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Clipless? Probably about the same as a snowballs chance in ----. However, I bet you could find a nice pair of CNC platform pedals if you looked hard enough. They will probably cost over $200, but I bet they are out there.

A combo set would be nice but just a standard pedal would be fine. Most of my riding currently is on the street with the kiddos. Parks are currently shut down for the trails and I don’t have the balls to flip in while mountain biking yet. Just got my first mountain bike so still learning. Been using Crank Brothers on my road bike for years now. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have.
