I used to be a life guard in high school. People drown all the time and as you said, it raises no eyebrows. Shit happens and it happens to people in circumstances that a lot of us wouldn't even question. If the guy had drowned in the pond, in the ocean or in a pool, this wouldn't merit a headline, other than local news. It's only getting headlines because of the name "Obama" and nothing else.

If it had "no link to Obama" we wouldn't question it... heck, we wouldn't even know about it. But, the fact of the matter is that anytime a dead body shows up at the home or in the vicinity of a future or former president questions will be asked. Also, there were a few mysterious deaths in the Obama orbit shortly before the Senator declared his candidacy for the Presidency. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Doesn't require any expertise. If you can't recognize an author of an article putting out garbage for the pure sake of just publishing something, anything, when he has only crumbs of the facts and nothing more, I can't help you. It's the tenor of the questions that's amusing - as if anyone who is rich, powerful or famous is somehow connected to a tragedy, however loosely, there must be nefarious aspects involved. I'm confident that I can make any death "mysterious" without too much effort. Death investigation was not my primary responsibility as a detective, but I caught my share of them when the regular detectives weren't available, as a matter of fact my very last case before retirement was the unexplained death of an infant. It was really heart-rending to see in cases of suicide or equivocal deaths the lengths that friends and family would go to to try to find some explanation for a death, when in fact, people just die, accidentally and otherwise.

Well, I thought the not-so-subtle ironical nature of my retort was fairly humorous. I guess that's not the case for some joyless people on this earth (makes subtle accusatory nod of the head in kc's direction). This message has been edited. So what happened to Obama’s chef? By Susan Daniels Barack Obama was “heartbroken” over the drowning of his chef Tafari Campbell, but has said nary a word about him since he drowned on Sunday. Sasha and Malia Obama flew off to California on Tuesday and Michelle, appropriately dressed in black, played tennis on Wednesday “but only for an hour.” Surely the Obamas would want a fine funeral for their employee of many years. But apparently, the issue is closed. The post-mortem was finished on Monday and the toxicology reports will take several weeks. So where is Tafari now? There has been no obituary for Tafari in any paper, no notification of a funeral -- not even in his hometown paper of Dumfries, VA. Perhaps it is too soon for him to be listed on Legacy.com, but others who died after he did are listed, and in Edgartown, MA there is nothing in the Vineyard Gazette, the local newspaper. It claims to list obituaries for anyone who lives on the island or vacations there regularly. Apparently, hired help doesn’t count, even one who returns year after year. Edgartown, MA police still have not identified the 911 caller, but one story revealed that it was a female. Allegedly, Tafari was paddle boarding with another person, who tried unsuccessfully to help him when he fell off his board. The unidentified person swam to shore where yet another person called for help. It is not unreasonable to think that one of the Obama girls was the unnamed person also out on the water. Malia looked distressed as she was leaving the island. She could have been the one who tried to help and Sasha could have made the call. If not one of the Obama girls, why was the caller unidentified? Tafari’s body was found in eight feet of water a hundred feet from shore; less than second base is from home plate. There are videos online showing him swimming and his drowning raises many unanswered questions. Barack and Michelle Obama originally said they were not at home when it happened but later changed their story. They are two prolific liars. Heartbroken? Indeed. Barack Obama was seen shedding tears at the funeral of civil rights leader Dorothy Height in 2010. One of her well-known quotes was: “Greatness is not measured by what a man or woman accomplishes, but by the opposition he or she has overcome to reach his goals.” Obama thinks he is great but we now know he has been handed everything his entire life, including someone else’s social security number, all of which I document in my book. https://www.americanthinker.co..._to_obamas_chef.html "Some things are apparent. It just sounds like the man couldn't swim and was doing shit he had no business to. You know like going out on a lake and can't swim. Happens all the time on lakes. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

The guy knew how to swim. I have watched videos of him swimming freestyle and backstroke the length of an Olympic sized pool. Plus the guy was in more than average fit shape. Now swimming in a lake is obviously different than a pool, but the guy was not in deep water and he had a paddleboard. LeBron James 18 yo son had a heart attack a day after, maybe these things happens in threes "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

^^ dude could have slipped and when falling smacked the back of his noggin on the paddle board rendering him unconscious. Slips under the water and drowns. Swimmer or non swimmer, getting knocked out and not wearing a lifejacket equals drowning. That’s the easiest and most likely event. Those paddle boards, like surf boards aren’t entirely coated in non-slip grip tape or Mr. Zog’s Sex Wax. I’ll even venture that since he was on a paddle board at night and not wearing a PFD that he had been drinking. Buck says he had ETOH in his blood. Many poor decisions are made with alcohol aboard. Also explains why no PFD. WRT who the caller was-it was probably one of the daughters. Family doesn’t want to get wrapped up in the public curiosity and requests the 911 call be redacted. WTF? Why this girl and not that girl, or that one over there? Is there any actual evidence that it was an Obama girl, or just sheer conjecture that it could have been because they are the same gender as the caller. The identity of 911 callers are almost never released for any number of reasons, not the least of which is that identifying them can lead to them being hassled by the press and public.
