The Reconquista: How Mexico is weaponizing illegal immigration to punish the United States
Many pillars of the Mexican elite embrace the notion of Reconquista—the “reconquest” of the land ceded to the United States by Mexico during the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, achieved through mass migration and political action. There are many in positions of power who share some version of that vision.

U.S. Navy destroyer stops four Mexicans rowing towards Texas. The Captain gets on the loud-hailer and shouts:

“Ahoy, small craft. Where are you headed?"

One of the Mexicans puts down his oar, stands up, and shouts, "Gringo, we are invading the United States of
America to reclaim the territory taken by the USA during the 1800's."

The entire crew on the destroyer doubles over in laughter.r>
When the Captain finally catches his breath, he gets back on the loud-hailer and asks, "Just the four of you?"

The same Mexican stands up again and shouts, "No, we’re the last 4. The other 20 million are already there.”

I read the article. It sounded very similar to a husband rationalizing why it was ok for his wife to sleep around on him. Mexicans can come to America in any numbers and it still won’t be Mexico. Nor will it benefit Mexico. Nor will it address the reason so many Mexicans would rather live here.

One strong president shutting down the border and potentially taxing outbound money transfers makes any “reconqista”fairly pointless.

FUCK Mexico. They were absolutely 100% complicit in the invasion of a sovereign nation. The fact that illegals are piling up inside their shithole country bothers me not in the slightest. I’m fine with electrifying the entire border with a no-man’s-land of mines, rabid coyotes, cholla cactus walls 20 feet thick, drones firing pepper balls, and a moat filled with carnivorous reptiles. Then bury them in sanctions, legal action, and the loss of any and all US tourism dollars.

Did I mention fuck Mexico?

The money flowing back to that shithole needs to be shut off, ESPECIALLY any money being given out as government assistance to anyone, legal or illegal.

Mexico is literally being propped up by our taxpayer dollars.

Cut that off and they will come begging to make a deal.

Same with Somalia.
Why does the US taxpayer have to prop up every shithole country and take in their people?

I'm the grandson of immigrants from Germany on my mother's side and my family goes back to the third ship after the Mayflower on my father's side.

Am I anti-immigration? Yes, I am.
Ever since it was changed in 1965 under Lyndon Johnson, it has sucked for the US citizen.

The LBJ Immigration Act of 1965, formally the Immigration and Nationality Act (Hart-Celler Act), signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson
Impact:

Increased Diversity:
Led to significant increases in immigration from Asia, Africa, and Latin America, fundamentally changing U.S. demographics.
Civil Rights Achievement:
Seen as a major civil rights victory, aligning immigration policy with principles of equality and fairness.
Long-Term Effects:
Reshaped American society, contributing to significant growth in foreign-born populations and changing cultural landscapes.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Not Texas. On April 21, 1836, 910 Texas soldiers came upon 1360 Mexican soldiers in what is today the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site (located in eastern Houston). In 18 minutes, the Texans won the battle with 63% of the Mexican soldier suffering casualties (650 KIA, 208 wounded) while Texas' troops only suffering 4.5% casualties (11 KIA, 30 wounded). Texas was independent within 3 weeks of this important battle.

Texas' forces were lead by General Sam Houston and the city of Houston was named after him. Mexico's forces were their by Mexico's cowardly president, Santa Ana, who we captured despite being dressed as a private. The Texans spared his life, and used him to get concessions and secure independence. Texas was an independent republic for 10 years prior to joining the US.

In honor of the triumph, the Texans built the San Jacinto monument 13 feet taller than the Washington Monument.

In addition to punishing the people who come here illegally, punish the people that hire illegal workers. Make it punitive enough that there is zero incentive to take the risk. There should be no government assistance for people not here legally, period. Without jobs and a safety net there is no incentive for these people to stay. Anybody that stays is likely here for nefarious reasons and should be dealt with accordingly. To the liberal elites these immigrants represent votes which equals power. The idea of a Reconquista is a fantasy, but this wave of leaches does in fact dilute our historical identity. These are interesting times that lay ahead.
