Everyone is so nice down here. Enjoying the trip and food so far. Going to go check out the Tabasco sauce facility tomorrow.

But seriously, the people are so friggin nice. Very refreshing.

Excellent! Enjoy!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I grew up in Lafayette. And yes, the folks in southern Louisiana are great. Nary a stranger.

Some say we are nice here in LA. Big Grin

Avery Island is a good place to visit when you're here. They have all kinds of stuff to buy there that has Tabasco in it. We were there a few months ago.
If you're going from Baton Rouge to Lafayette to get to Avery Is. You need to get some boudin to eat. Billy's Boudin has a new place on I-49 1 mile north of I-10 in Lafayette. They have great Crawfish Boudin there. We stop there a lot.

I ran over and killed that gator a few months ago coming from New Iberia in the cane fields

I spent a lot of time working in Mandeville earlier this year.

Met a lot of good people and ate some great food.

I lived in the central south all my life till now. I miss the lack of so many crazy personality types.
Most were just raised family style in the central south, imo

On the way home.tomorrow.we are.going on a swamp and gator tour... supposedly you get to.see.all.sorts of wildlife and hold.some.alligators. should.be fun.

We have had a great time.so.far and cant wait to.be back. I love.the friendly people and now.see why people always talk about the "southern manners" everyone here is so nice and welcoming. A welcome change from the "fuck you" attitude of my city..... (kinda, we arent that bad...)

So long as you're not a visiting team playing against LSU, they're a pretty cordial bunch, lol.
