I watch his channel from time to time, seems like a nice guy. His location says United Kingdom, but what type of accent does he have? No reason to ask, I'm just curious.

Having worked in the Caribbean, I found his accent easy to understand; it appears that the Welsh accent must have been a fairly important contribution to the modern English West Indies accent.

I agree with the other replies---he's Welsh.

Had a Welshman as a history teacher at North Georgia and his accent was even more difficult to follow.

Many British sailors in the 17th and 18th century came from the West Country areas like Cornwall, Bristol and Devon along with many Welsh who have that lilt in their speech pattern which you associate with various Caribbean communities. Because the major seaports were located in these communities, most of the sailors would sound 'like a pirate'. Rolling R's, soft H's, a sing-song tempo; Long John Silver from Treasure Island, Hagrid from Harry Potter-series, are examples for the SouthWestern language accents. Hearing the Welsh language for the first time can be pretty shocking for people not familiar with it or, any other Celtic language; keep in mind, English is derived western German languages.

To be more precise, he is from South Wales - he has a distinctly different accent from that of North Wales, where I was raised by my Welsh-speaking grandfather and his London-born wife.

Rob is a well-regarded craftsman here in UK - if you look carefully you'll see his name on the knife he uses.

Rob is an expert woodsman who has been to every 'Wilderness Gathering' since it started in 2003. He has ventured out on many expeditions and his broad skill set comes from a wealth of outdoors experience. He is an accomplished knife maker, as well as maker of accoutrements for knifery.

I often watch these videos by Lucy. She is an online English teacher for those learning it as a second language. I love different accents, and it doesn’t hurt that Lucy is easy on the eyes. She gets to the Welsh at 8:45.

Sounds like distant Welsh cousins I have.
