Well Pump
What keeps the green pipe from falling into the well considering the weight of the pump (approx 40#) and the pressure spikes when it turns on and off.

Most of the ones I've seen look like this...

I've never seen either of those applications, but I'm used to drilled wells, not cisterns.

Is that green pipe copper or plastic? Either way, I'd want something a good bit more rugged than that, AND a safety lanyard secured independent of the pipe.

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

it appears that the pump is suspended on the poly rope and the piping is free to flex as the pump turns on, so the only pressure on the green bar is the weight of the pump, it's not gonna come off.

If the pump is suspended by rope the torque wouldn't affect the cross brace.

I had to pull my pump last year because the torque had abraded the wires from the pump along the drop pipe.
